Phil’s career spans over forty five years of serving clients with complex business, personal, estate and tax issues. Because of his level of experience, legal insight and business acumen he has been retained by numerous extremely high net-worth clients to assist with the unique challenges and responsibilities that accompany wealth.

In 2011, Phil was again named a “Super Lawyer” among Southern California lawyers. He is State Bar Certified in taxation as well as estate planning, probate and trust law.

Phil’s attention to detail and unique insight allows him to maximize financial benefits for his clients and their beneficiaries by disinheriting Uncle Sam through the use of appropriate planning strategies. His primary goal is helping his clients achieve their personal objectives and serving as their trusted confidant.

I know that the problems and complexities that high net-worth clients generally face require not only precise legal knowledge, but a thorough understanding of how business works. Equally important to achieving a client’s goals is the ability to empathize with the human dynamics, helping clients reconcile the competing demands they face. Doing what is in the best interest of clients is always foremost, and the highest compliment we receive is when our clients refer to us as not just as their attorney, but as their trusted advisor.

Phil, the senior partner of Valensi Rose, has made a strong investment back into the community through his numerous charitable activities while contributing to building a firm that follows in his footsteps.

Phil’s practice focuses on estate and tax planning, but his clients have such confidence in his business insight and common sense that he is frequently asked to advise on complex business and real estate transactions and important family issues.

In working with an executive of a NYSE listed company, Phil was asked to help devise a strategy to resolve some litigation. While the client was aware that Phil does not handle business litigation, he wanted Phil on the team as he highly valued Phil’s business judgment.

Phil represented an executor of a California probate estate, that was valued at over one billion dollars, and he successfully resolved by negotiation, for about one million dollars, numerous tax and other claims against the estate totaling more than five hundred million dollars.
