Bruce D. Sires was a featured speaker at a Beverly Hills Bar Association lunch seminar entitled “Child Actors – What’s All The Fuss?: A Look at the Current State of Laws and Regulations.” The seminar reviewed and discussed recent changes in the industry governing the employment of minors in entertainment.
Bruce spoke on the proper handling of a minor’s earnings under the Coogan Act, specifically the 15% employers are required to deposit into a Coogan Trust Account for the benefit of the minor after age 18.
