Margaret E. Lennon practices primarily in the areas of tax and estate planning. She focuses her practice on estate and gift tax planning for high net worth individuals and closely held business, and on the administration of trusts.
Peggy is certified as a tax specialist by the California Board of Legal Specialization and is the past chair of the firm’s tax and wealth transfer planning group. In addition to being a member of the California bar, she has also been admitted to the District of Columbia bar (inactive status) and the United States Tax Court. She is an officer of the Estate and Gift Tax Subcommittee of the State Bar Taxation Section. She has also chaired the Tax Law Advisory Commission to the State Bar’s legal specialization program for its 2006-07 year.
The Tax Law Advisory Commission prepares and grades the 6-hour examination for legal specialization in tax law. Lawyers who serve on this commission must have significant depth of expertise as they review and recommend whether applicants have satisfied the requirements for legal specialization. In addition, the Commission members advise the California Board of Legal Specialization on matters pertinent to tax law specialization.
Law and Politics Magazine and the Publishers of Los Angeles Magazine have named Peggy a "Super Lawyer" among Southern California lawyers for 2004 - 2007 and 2009.
