Valensi Rose takes pleasure in announcing that Kayla Horacek has been named a Partner, effective January 1, 2019. She joins the other senior members of the firm, including Managing Partner Michael Morris, Philip Magaram, Laurie Murphy, Gary Torrell, Brad Kuenning, and the firm's other new partner, Lynda Chung.

Kayla, who joined the firm in 2014, will continue to practice family law, including litigation over contested matters. Certified by the State Bar of California as a Family Law specialist and an accredited Minor’s Counsel, she has extensive experience in business evaluations, complex property division and child custody issues, especially for high net worth clients.

In addition to being certified as a Family Law Specialist, Kayla was formerly a behavioral technician for children with autism—a combination that provides her with a deeper understanding for legal issues involving special needs children.

Kayla has been practicing law for 13 years. She is a graduate of Santa Clara University, and earned her law degree at Southwestern University School of Law, where she received a CALI award for excellence in Torts, first-place award for “Best Brief,” and second place for “Best Oralist” in the Moot Court Honors Program.

Super Lawyers Magazine recognized Kayla as a Southern California Super Lawyer for 2016, 2017 and 2018, and earlier named her a Rising Star in 2014 and 2015.
