Rachelle H. Cohen will participate in a California Lawyers Association webinar focusing on unexpected issues that can arise after the formation of a limited liability company (LLC).
The March 25 midday program, titled “Planning for the Unexpected with Limited Liability Companies: Death, Money Troubles, and Disagreements,” will give attorneys tools they can use with clients when drafting operating agreements or dealing with problems that may arise later.
Joining Rachelle will be Bunnie Poullard, a senior attorney in the corporate and entertainment practice groups of Weintraub Tobin.
Rachelle’s areas of practice include legal ethics consulting, business and real estate transactions, and estate planning. She serves as an outside “in-house” counsel to many of her clients, providing day-to-day guidance on legal challenges that arise in their businesses.
Rachelle is a member of the CLA Ethics Committee and has served as a Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of the CLA Business Law Section and a Chair of the CLA’s Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee and Corporations Committee. She also is Vice Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Professional Responsibility and Ethics Committee.
Rachelle speaks and writes frequently about business entities and transactions, and legal ethics. In addition, she has taught a course at the USC Gould School of Law on contract drafting and strategy.
