Lynda I. Chung will speak to the Orange County Bar Association’s Tax Law Section on Thursday, Sept. 10, via Zoom.
The title of her talk is “Money, Marriage, Death and Debt – Probate Litigation for Civil Litigators.” Registration is available online.
Her talk will provide advice for civil litigators who encounter probate, trust, and estate issues after a dispute has arisen.
Lynda will discuss issues that lawyers, as well as lay people with significant assets, should understand about potential legal consequences of such major life events as marriage, divorce, incapacity, and death.
These issues include how these events can affect the ownership, control, succession, and litigation of businesses and other assets.
Lynda will also identify the probate and trust issues that can arise in connection with these life events.
A litigation partner at Valensi Rose, Lynda chairs the Trusts & Estates Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
She was recently included in Los Angeles Magazine’s Best of L.A. Legal directory in trust and estates, and has been designated a Southern California Super Lawyer in trusts and estates each year since 2019.
Her practice focuses on probate and trust litigation, including financial elder abuse, will and trust contests, disputes involving testamentary and contractual capacity, undue influence, fiduciary accountings, conservatorships, and litigation involving closely held businesses and family-owned entities.
In addition to her litigation practice, Lynda also serves as outside general counsel for family offices and high-net-worth individuals, advising clients on estate and succession planning, trust administration, governance, management of family assets, and the care of elderly family members.
