Rachelle Cohen co-hosted a webinar on ethics training for lawyers presented by the California Lawyers Association on Dec. 6, 2023.
Joining Rachelle in the presentation was Carole J. Buckner, a Partner and General Counsel at Procopio.
The webinar, attended by some 40 attorneys, was titled “Ethics for Busy Lawyers.”
It acknowledged that lawyers often face numerous competing demands on their time. They have to delegate administrative tasks, handle client intake, accept new cases, and communicate with clients – all while upholding their obligations under the California Rules of Professional Conduct. As a result, it's possible to overlook some of these rules.
The CLA program specifically focused on the rules that tend to be ignored by busy lawyers.
Rachelle’s areas of practice include business and real estate transactions, estate planning, and legal ethics consulting.
She serves as an outside “in-house” counsel to many of her clients and provides day-to-day guidance on legal challenges that arise in her clients’ business.
