Rachelle Cohen, who currently is the Chair of the California Lawyers Association’s Civics Engagement and Outreach Committee, helped organize and attended a Civic Engagement & Outreach luncheon with elementary school students on September 12 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel.
The event, hosted by the California Lawyers Association & California Lawyers Foundation, was attended by 120 fourth and fifth graders from the Rio Vista Elementary School and their teachers. The goal was to help the students understand how laws are made, applied, and interpreted.
Rachelle, Managing Partner of Valensi Rose, is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyers Association.
Her areas of practice include business and real estate transactions, estate planning, and legal ethics consulting. She serves as an outside “in-house” counsel to many of her clients, providing day-to-day guidance on legal challenges that arise in their businesses.
Rachelle speaks and writes frequently about business entities and transactions, and legal ethics. In addition, she has taught a course at the USC Gould School of Law on contract drafting and strategy.
