James K. Andrade has authored three resources on California trustee accounting obligations for CEB Practitioner, the practical guidance component of CEB's OnLAW Pro platform.
The resources include a how-to guide for preparing a formal trust accounting, a reference chart identifying when the duty to account arises and to whom it applies, and a checklist of documents and information required for the accounting process.
Mr. Andrade's practice focuses on trust and estate litigation and administration, private client wealth planning and management, fiduciary disputes, and elder financial abuse. He also advises on business succession and ownership matters.
He has represented companies, financial institutions, professional fiduciaries, trustees, administrators, executors, heirs, beneficiaries, and creditors in litigation and in the administration of trusts and estates.
Mr. Andrade is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law and is admitted to practice in California and Texas. He received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he also earned a certificate from the Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law, and holds a degree in Economics from the University of Kansas.
